Free People is a specialty clothing brand featuring the latest trends and vintage collections for people who live free through fashion, art, music and travel. The eclectic look consists of quality apparel, shoes, and accessories that invoke attributes of femininity, spirit, and creativity with its design. Free People is distributed globally via direct channels such as the Free People US & Free People UK sites, as well as specialty boutiques, top department stores, and the brand’s own free standing retail locations in the US and Canada.
We have an exciting new role within the online merchandising team, focusing on international market growth. As our Digital VM Assistant you will work with the team and be responsible for managing the flow of email marketing and on-site merchandising for the UK and France. You will be required to use current and historical sales as well as fashion trend to build appropriate brand stories and voice for this expanding customer base. This role is suited to a fluent French speaker.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Working closely with the international buyer to understand the buy for the market, key items and store buys so a synergy between direct and stores can be created.
Review weekly UK/EU sales reports to understand the business as a whole and action necessary changes to the email calendar and on-site merchandising.
Evaluate the competition and market and make recommendations to improve the Free People on-site/email merchandising experience for the international customer.
Plan out international email marketing for the upcoming month ensuring the big ideas, per country, are represented in the calendar.
Manage the email prep process which includes creating and maintaining Asana/Trello cards for all international-focused emails, while tracking weekly selling & inventory on styles.
Act as the point person for graphic designers & copywriters for emails in terms of correct written copy and prioritizing images/styles within each email.
Communicate key messaging information with retail teams so web messaging is aligned with the retail assortment.
Based on the product assortment candidate will be responsible for being the storyteller of the brand, must have a strong fashion POV and be able to identify trends in the UK and French market and build story/mood boards around this that will help determine email and home page strategy.
Work closely with USA merch team to edit images for emails and homepages
Develop strong cross functional relationships with the USA team
Must be able to prioritize, react with a sense of urgency and be adaptable to ad hoc changes
