Cloth Portico is a boutique firm helping emerging designers and brands bring thier ideas together to create a viable Brand. We do this by providing Design, Fabric Sourcing, Tech Pack Creation, Flat Sketches and ultimately placing their product in our Partner Factories located in NYC, MIAMI, VIETNAM and PERU.

We are looking for 1-2 Freelance Designers to work on a By-Project basis. We currently have 2 Projects open:

Active / Lounge Wear for Men and Women and Girls Apparel, age 2-10. Both are emerging brands needing a designer who can take thier direction, but have a strong point of view and creative talent.

We are looking for design talent who can take the Clients Ideas from tear sheets or Samples and create a small Initial Collection and then, if the client loves, this will be an ongoing position.

MUST HAVES: Excel, Adobe Illustrator, Flat Sketches, Drop in color and Print, put the collection together that makes sense as a merchandised line. Take thier ideas and add your own creatitivity. Must be able to meet deadlines and work fast. Desire to work on ongoing projects.

NICE TO HAVES: Ability to suggest Fabric and Trims for each garment. Good communication skills, as the Brand owners may want to Zoom with you on occasion. Ability to travel to NYC: work with the factories, source fabric and trims, attend fabric shows) All expenses would be paid by the company.

YOU WILL GET: The Ability to work from home with Touch Bases by Zoom Weekly, lots of experience designing multiple categories, merchandising, sourcing and contacts in within the Industry to help you move forward in your Career.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $27.00 - $50.00 per hour
