We are looking for an experienced First Mile Transportation Strategy Manager to join the Nike family! As a Global First Mile Transportation Strategy Manager, you will be a key team member on the Global Transportation First Mile team. Your focus will be to support Global Transportation’s strategy of building a flexible transportation network. This role will be engaged in implementing and operationalizing key capabilities by having a deep understanding of Global Logistics and Transportation strategies across Geos and partnering with Geo partners, Global Product teams, and technology/analytics partners to bring new capabilities and standardized global processes to the business such as network and LSP KPIs and compliance.

The will partner closely with Geo Transportation operations teams, Global Product Management, technology and analytics teams to ensure alignment to the broader Nike, Inc. transportation strategy and vision. An effective Global Transportation Strategy Manager will be able to support shifting priorities across a diverse and rapidly evolving landscape and build expertise & knowledge in Nike’s logistics and transportation space.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Represent Global First Mile Transportation Strategy in capabilities projects and ensuring business requirements and solutions align Geo and Global strategy
  • Support the near/medium/long term global roadmap for transportation capabilities
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with geo transportation and logistics operations teams to align to business outcomes to Global and Geo transportation capabilities strategies.
  • Leverage industry expertise in the Logistics and Transportation space to evolve the Global First Mile Transportation Strategy network and LSP compliance program.
  • Partner with Geo Transportation teams and data analytics to evolve global first mile supplier KPIs and scorecards, leveraging standardized processes and reporting.
  • Build and maintain good relationship with external first mile supplier partners to support future first mile capabilities needs.
  • Partner with Geo Transportation and Global Procurement teams to identify new suppliers and capabilities to ensure supply chain resiliency in the global LSP portfolios.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Technology or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation and/or product management space
  • Proven track record of working in a cross-functional, global, multi-team environment
  • Project management and influencing skills with the ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Experience with and/or ability to quickly learn complex systems
  • Experience with data management in ERP systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc) or TMS, SaaS systems
  • Experience implementing international transportation systems, including business requirements gathering, vendor selection, and managing critical paths preferred
  • Experience with vendor management, supplier relationship management and supplier performance management
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
