Liberated is looking for a Global Merchandiser to join our team. The Global Merchandiser is responsible for the execution of products that are built both within and outside of our seasonal calendar. This includes, but is not limited to, working with the Design team on the creation of compelling product assortments that align with the needs of the brand and customers; collaboration with the Development team on product creation and quality; as well as, serving as the liaison between Sales or Global/Brand partners, Designers, Developers and Suppliers. This role manages all aspects of the product creation timeline, the physical execution of product and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.

  • Create and define the seasonal merchandising strategy and line plan
  • Work with financial targets, having the ability to translate these into quarterly product strategies in conjunction with the Planning team
  • Manage the costing process / negotiations and ensure that products are aligned with margin goals
  • Build and maintain seasonal calendar
  • Conducts thorough analysis of historical sell-in and sell-thru numbers making the best decisions for future product needs
  • Ensures that products created align with the customer’s needs…working closely with product teams, Marketing and Sales throughout this process
  • Monitor Development communication with Suppliers
  • Review and provide design / construction comments (In conjunction with Designers and Developers)
  • Monitor fabric, block, and color development approvals (In conjunction with Designers and Developers)
  • Provide styling, fit and construction comments during product development (In conjunction with Designers and Developers)
  • Manage and maintain any specific trim development for responsible styles and ensure on-time delivery to Suppliers
  • Manage and maintain the sample development / approval cycle maintaining on-time delivery of products
  • Coordinate, place and track and salesman sample orders
  • Ensures that all products are setup accurately, ready for integration from the PLM system to the company’s ERP system
  • 3rd party product set up, management and maintenance for misc. projects
  • Research and provide findings related to market analysis, product trends and competitors
  • Knowledge of customer needs and applicable market trends at key price-points
  • Assist in catalog creation and maintenance
  • Present in key milestone meetings as needed
  • Awareness of internal rules & regulations that accompany the development and commercialization of products
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 2 years of Merchandising or related experience
  • A Merchandising, Design or bachelor’s degree is preferable and appreciated
  • Extensive attention to detail related to timeline, quality, innovation and functionality is required
  • Communicate clearly enough to translate vision to a party whose first language may not be English
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers and organization employees
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Full Circle (ERP) and/or PLM experience preferred
  • Sense of trend and development in the sportwear / active industry
  • Strong presentational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data and draw conclusions.
