Job Description

Lonely Ghost is looking for a Head of Production to lead the Production team. This position reports directly to the General Manager with dotted line accountability to the President. The Head of Production works directly with the Creative, Marketing, Operations, and Development team, with strong collaboration with Merchandising and Fulfillment. You will be responsible for managing our entire production process and overseeing the work-flow and critical path across Production and Design.

Duties and Responsibilities

Overseeing & monitoring the production process and drop planning

Overseeing the production and development calendar

Participate in the strategic decision process for the production department

Overseeing supplier relationships to ensure all suppliers meet and maintain delivery, quality, and margin expectations

Ensuring production is cost effective & margin/budget targets are met across the department each season

Ongoing assessment of existing supplier base and sourcing of new suppliers, in consistency with brand strategy

Managing bulk production from order placement to delivery including raw materials, trims, packaging, testing and QC

Overseeing bulk shipping and imports, liaising with logistics, warehouse, finance, sales

Supervising team & reviewing team performance

Monitoring claim statistics and settling claim issues with suppliers

Optimizing and identify costs saving along the production process

Required Skills and Abilities

A minimum of 3+ years of experience leading production teams

Experience managing entire production process

Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced ever-changing environment

Understanding and alignment with the Lonely Ghost aesthetic

Proficient use of technology (Shopify and other applicable software systems)

Positive attitude and outlook, strong accountability skills

Strong understanding of the retail environment

Maintain an active role with other key members of the Lonely Ghost management team

Education, Experience & Physical Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher preferred but not required

Previous retail production experience with a clothing/retail/apparel line
