This full-time position will be located in Detroit and the candidate will be responsible for cutting & sewing samples and small batch production. The candidate must be highly skilled and self motivated.

Qualifications

-Advanced knowledge of garment construction,& fabric knowledge.

-Experience training and/or teaching people garment construction techniques

-Can read and execute Tech Packs, Cutters Must and other production

documents.

-Must know how to thread and operate a variety of sewing machines and train

apprentices.

-Must be able to follow and execute our curriculum to teach apprentices.

-Must have industry knowledge and be able to critique the quality of a

garment.

-Must have compassion for the learning process while also

maintainingexpectations of quality.

-A good understanding and interest in sustainable practices in the

fashionindustry, or willingness to learn.

-Must be able to problem solve and aid in strategic planning.

-Full Time

-Salary commensurate with experience

- Must be able to provide a cover letter, resume & a portfolio or images of work. We will also need to see garments in person once an interview has been scheduled.

-Must have at least 3-4 references. These can be previous jobs and/or personal clients.
