Reporting into the Change Manager, you will create fit for purpose learning assets and solutions to enable the transition to a new PIM product. This includes performing needs assessments prior to any development work to identify learning objectives; and then designing, testing and rapidly iterating instructional content for your audience. The Instructional Designer will also help to facilitate training sessions as required.

You will have expertise in developing blended learning assets and solutions, including for face to face and virtual environments and will create a well-rounded training program that includes videos, creative content, instructions, and experiences for internal and external stakeholders.

With a hybrid mix of working at home as well as our Burnley office, this role will suit an experienced Learning Designer looking to make a real impact on delivery of this project.

Please note this is a contract role of 6-8 month tenure at 22 to 30 hours per week.

What does the role involve?

Design relevant on brand and innovative content and training programs to support specific learning requirements for the PIM project (soft and technical skills)

Partner with business stakeholders to understand the project audience and to identify learning needs that are aligned to project and business outcomes

Structure content and activities to drive learner retention and engagement

Determine and recommend performance objectives, learning strategies, and evaluation plan based on the business and learner needs

Design and develop performance-focused learning content and assets that engages our stakeholders, ensuring content is ready for deployment in line with project delivery goals

Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of content and delivery plans

Develop compelling learning experiences using the appropriate modalities such as ILT and VILT classroom training, blended learning, interactive eLearning and simulations, video learning, and performance support aids.

Design and develop knowledge checks and skills assessments to measure the learning outcomes

Develop train-the-trainer guides/materials as long-term BAU assets for the PIM product

Develop and manage the training schedule for project implementation
