Jewelry Designer - Amazing Contemporary Fashion Brand

Our client, a well-known Lux Contemporary Brand in NYC is looking for a talented Jewelry Designer to join their team in an ongoing freelance basis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage creative and technical development of product within merchandise assortment strategy
• Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials and styling
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
• Conduct fittings
• Create design cards for first protos, including measurements and construction details
• Develop materials with production and suppliers
• Approval of submits
• Provide design research, attend trade exhibitions, supervise product development process

Requirements:

• 4-5 years Design experience
• Working knowledge of jewelry construction, materials, and fit
• Knowledge of seasonal silhouette and color trends
• Strong illustration/presentation skills
• Proven ability to research and apply market/fashion trend information
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented, good follow through
• Strong organizational, communication and written skills
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel
• BA Fashion Design
