What's the role about?

As part of our Womenswear Design department, you'll be joining as our Junior Designer, who is responsible of assisting in the design or seasonal collection creating mood and trend directions, developing multi product collections with the Reiss brand identity from initial concept, through to gold seal.

As part of our Womenswear Design department, you'll be joining as our Junior Designer, who is responsible of assisting in the design or seasonal collection creating mood and trend directions, developing multi product collections with the Reiss brand identity from initial concept, through to gold seal.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating all specs and tech packs, alongside CAD designs and colourways for specs and presentations
  • Measurement and construction detail for best factory understanding, working with technical team to ensure that all expectations of proto are met
  • Working within the seasonal set critical path
  • Assisting the senior design team, demonstrating an understanding of the Reiss DNA
  • Working with fabric team to select best fabrics that work within the budget
  • Sampling material selected and ordered on time in relation to critical path
  • Working with Product Development on factory placement per style
  • Managing lab dip process
  • Conducting market trend research and identifying growth areas

Profile

Who you are

  • Experience as a Womenswear Designer in a high-end/luxury brand
  • Strong sketching and CAD design skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness, keeping up to date with the fashion industry
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines, delegating tasks and prioritising workload
  • Fantastic communication skills and the ability to connect with and inspire people of different levels within the business
  • Working as part of a team, having a hands-on approach, and taking ownership of workload
