To maximise sales and gross margin for areas of control and the wider business through analysis, planning and forecasting and in season trading. Act as key Merchandising contact and develop sound cross functional relationships with Buying, Finance, Distribution and Marketing.

PROVIDE weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility
MAINTAIN Department Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI) and identify risk and opportunities inline with budget and forecastsPRO-ACTIVELY reviewing risks and opportunities, recommending actions to the business and work closely with brand partners to achieve KPIs.
INTERACT cross departmentally and with wider teams improve seasonal performance and drive best practices
KEY contact for insight, analysis and actions relating to departments of responsibility and the wider business
CONDUCT detailed and insightful analysis and reporting for department of responsibilities relating to all KPIs and attributes for various stakeholders
LEAD, COACH and DEVELOP MA's and AM's in your department and driving them to achieve their goals and department targets.IDENTIFY and suggest new processes, best practice and reporting requirement to support the need of a new and growing business area

Planning and Forecasting
PARTNER with the buying teams and brand partners to create seasonal strategies, budget and OTB for departments relating to all KPI's
PRODUCE and present seasonal budget packs and strategy for departments of responsibility driven from historic analysis and strategic vision
PRODUCE MANAGE Departments WSSI's
PRO-ACTIVELY review opportunities and risks and work closely with brand partners to ensure sales is optimised and efficient replenishment process is established on core range to maintain availability at all times
OVERSEE brand buyers packs for departments of responsibility driving strategic questions for Buying and brand partners in order to improve sales, sell through and achieve optimum, price point, options and depth architecture.
ANY OTHER ad hoc duties as reasonably requested supporting SM and wider business strategic initiatives
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Minimum 2 years' experience at Assistant Merchandiser level - preferably within multi-brand or luxury environment, although not a pre requisite.
- Proven track record in planning and trading your own department, including budget, OTB management and forecasting responsibilities
- Good judgement and decision making skills
- Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and also with external stakeholders
- Exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient
- Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- Advanced planning, reporting and analytical skills, including Excel
- Experience managing and developing AM/MA levels
- Strong commercial and brand awareness awareness
- Proactive and can do attitude
