Job description

As a Junior Designer you will work collaboratively with the Senior Designer and the wider design team to contribute seasonal research on upcoming print trends for your Warehouse. You will use a variety of different sources to collate your research, to ensure the customer is seeing a range of prints. Alongside your Senior Designer you will create designs that incorporate the Warehouse brand, showing flare and style in all of your designs. This role is based from our central London office in the heart of Soho.

What you'll be doing

  • Organising and sending out print packs to suppliers and manage any help they may require - prints to be in repeat, have colour references and include all essential technical information needed by supplier
  • Managing the print library including vintage samples, print studio hangers and online artworks.

  • Drive research into print and colour ideas and trends in line with the brand and to sit with the design stories for the season.
  • Presenting new trends to departments, catwalk reaction packs and street style packs.
  • Developing prints from scratch, with a varied and strong print handwriting including a mix of drawing, painting and digital artworks across all departments.
  • Recolours, rescales and reworks of bought artworks to sit alongside original creations

More about you

  • Have an understanding of print techniques, embroidery and embellishment and different fabric bases etc
  • You have excellent skills in the adobe suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
  • Confident communicator. A big part of the role will be working with internal and external stakeholder, are you confident building strong working relationships.
  • Highly organised and an independent thinker, with technical flair and a can-do attitude.
