The Role:

The Junior Product Merchandiser Women's Accessories will be responsible for the coordination of the development and commercialisation of the range, facilitating efficient information flow between the Design, Development and Production functions and driving open communication with the Retail, Wholesale and Franchise teams.

Hybrid working applies to this role, meaning you can work 50% of your time from our beautiful office in Kensington and 50% of your time from home.

This role is a maternity leave cover.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Product Assortment Management

- Manage and build the Women's Accessories range, including Bags and Small Leather Goods.

- Work to create the critical path for each season, from initial Design Brief to sales team Handover and ensure all departments adhere to the agreed calendar.

- Attend Prototype Review meetings throughout the development cycle, providing guidance to the Design and Development teams to ensure that the brief is fulfilled.

- Gather market feedback through regular meetings with Retail and Wholesale teams, as well as store visits.

- Create the Range Brief that will be presented to Design team to guide them in the creation of the new collection, by providing sales analysis of previous collections, objectives for the new collection in terms of style and SKU numbers, needs in terms of functionalities or price points, trends, and market and store feedback.

- Facilitate efficient information flow between Design, Development and Production teams.

- Set up and update the Range Grid throughout the development process and liaise with Prima administrator to set up new products on the Prima system.

- Collaborate with marketing team on choice of product for press samples, products that will feature in the brochures or advertising, etc.

- Work on exclusives and special projects as appropriate and attend weekly meeting.

Seasonal Buying Activities

- Actively participate in the collection Handover to sales teams, in terms of preparing presentations, putting together sales documents, and presenting new collections during product training.

- Work closely with Buyers during Buying Sessions to ensure consistent adoption of the range and gather feedback to inform future developments.

- Formulate post-market Hindsight analysis, including adoption rates, regional congruency, product preferences and average selling prices.

Competitor & Market Research

- Recognise opportunities for new products; analyse needs in terms of functions and price points.

- Follow main competitors in terms of price points, functions, materials, country of origin, balance of the collection and trends.

Sales Analysis

- Formulate commentary on weekly sales reporting, presenting to the business when relevant.

- Participate in monthly sales calls with regional teams to gather in season feedback and monitor customer response to new launches.

Sales & Training Tools

- Support and guide the Assistant PM with the Creation of buying session tools (NuOrder, presentations, collection book and others).

- Guide Assistant PM on generation of web descriptions and creation of training manual.

Skills & Experience Required:

- Ideally 3+ years related industry experience, ideally on Women's products.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Excellent analytical skills.

- Ability to work on own initiative and sometimes under pressure.

- Enthusiastic and flexible approach.
