The annual base salary for this position ranges from $112,600.00 in our lowest geographic market to $251,800.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Who are we looking for?We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to be part of a mission critical team focused on building a high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant supply chain planning platforms that drives Nikes Digital transformation and growth strategies. The Lead Software Engineer should be passionate about Data and will serve as a technical expert for the software engineering team.
What will you work on?You will support critically important platforms across Inventory forecasting, Inventory Management and Supply Planning. The squad you support will own a solution to ensure we land the right supply at the right node at the right time, in order to enable fulfillment of customer demand in the shortest possible time with minimal shipping costs to the organization. The solution uses both full stack applications and packaged solutions such as O9 to deliver value to our partners. You will and a data platform. You will build create distributed system designs, build data centric user experiences, cloud based distributed systems in AWS, microservices, data pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
Who will you work with?You will work with globally distributed teams across product, program, architecture, and engineering. You will help your squads collaborate with other squads to deliver end to end solutions. You will partner with architects and other teams to ensure that the ecosystem of services remains loosely coupled and independently scalable. You will report into the Director of Engineering for your capability area.
What you bring?-A minimum of 8 years software development experience-Technical leadership / mentorship in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline software development team environment-Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure, etc.)-Experience building data pipelines using EMR, AirFlow, Snowflake, Hive, and Databricks.-Experience working writing sophisticated SQL queries.-Experience with microservices architecture, and development-Experience with monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk, SignalFx, and New Relic-Experience with continuous integration (CI), unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests (continuous delivery (CD) experience is preferred)-Exposure to Supply Chain domain areas like inventory Planning, Inventory Forecasting, Inventory management, Supply Planning, or Demand Planning-Exposure to any enterprise packages like SAP Advance Planning & Optimization (APO), o9 Supply Chain Management, Blue Yonder Luminate Planning, or others including custom / proprietary Planning solutions-Experience with driving culture changes using DevOps principles and practices-Comfortable working with globally distributed and diverse teams-Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews-Intellectually curious, open-minded, and enjoy working in a constantly evolving environment-Passionate about coaching and mentoring software developers to deliver timely, high--quality software with a solid understanding of Scrum and Agile principles-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience#LI-JB2
