Licensed Apparel Designer

Leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of licensed apparel and accessories is seeking a Designer with strong Fashion Licensed Design experience.

Key Responsibilities for Designer:

-Work with Design Director in creation of design language; research current market trends relevant to brand, shop market for samples to support direction and development, flat sketch design, trims etc.

-Collaborate with graphic designer in team environment for line development.

-Setting up design boards for sales.

-Tech Pack development process; assigning style numbers, color codes & spec request, detailing out make and needle, etc.

-Sample Product development approvals; lab-dips, strike-offs, fabric approvals etc.

-Communication with production & factories on sampling and problem-solving possible challenges.

Skills & Abilities for Designer:

-Strong knowledge of fashion design; Young Men's / Boy's Apparel - preferred in athletic wear and/or branded lines.

-Strong communication skills with cross functional teams as well as with makers

-Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, trims etc.

-Good knowledge of garment art techniques

-Strong Adobe Illustrator and Excel skills

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

-Ability to multitask

-Creative passion & willingness to bring forth creative ideas & solutions

-Able to work as a Team player with cross functional departments as well as independently
