POSITION SUMMARY:

Splendid is looking for an Allocator to join our dynamic direct to consumer team. The Allocator is responsible for developing, executing and communicating allocations that maintain optimal store inventory that tie to the division’s financial objectives. This position will support our Splendid DTC team, working closely with the department’s buyer and reporting to the merchandise planner. Our ideal candidate will be a sharply analytical problem-solver with business acumen and the ability to adapt to the changes that come with a fashion business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create seasonal store clusters by volume and category utilize historical data and current trend to build and implement allocation strategy of new monthly floor-set product
  • Coordinate shipping schedule with customer service and DC to ensure timely deliveries
  • Manage inventory flow between full price, ecommerce, and outlet stores to maximize productivity
  • Weekly replenishment of the basics program, maintain model stocks by store
  • Manage weekly replenishment of seasonal product, maximize optimal inventory needs by channel
  • Present weekly recaps and status updates on replenishment and floor-set deliveries
  • Create and manage size scales accurately to reflect current selling
  • Build effective partnerships with DC teams and retail store teams
  • Ability to support the planning and buying team with ad hoc business analysis and reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2- 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong strategic thinking and outstanding analytical/quantitative skills
  • Adaptability/flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
  • Ability to learn systems and new processes quickly
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Lookups, pivot tables, formulas, sorts, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, strong time management skills, ownership and initiative
  • Experience working with allocation systems preferred, experience with KWI is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or combination of experience and/or training
  • Experience in a similar retail/apparel company a huge plus
