NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Develop specific merchandise plans to meet key business objectives and financial goals. Ensure profitability and aligning consumer purchasing trends with product offers to our Central and South American Partners. Develop, execute, and communicate financial plans and strategies that support the buying, marketing and financial objectives of multiple category and area of responsibility. Meet and exceed financial goals by developing financial strategies that drive the sales, profitability, and inventory targets. Analyze historical data and current trends to identify both current and future risks and opportunities for the business. Collaborate with key business partners to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities. Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis. Communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to management and cross-functional partners. Mentor, train, and serve as a knowledge resource for entry-level and intermediate planners.

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering or Business Management and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Experience must include:

  • Financial analysis, financial modeling, or financial operations projects;
  • Creating, sharing, analyzing executive level reports to review strategy and profitability to relevant shareholders, such as senior management;
  • Reviewing data and economic impact in highly volatile marketplaces to determine the right future buys and sales to ensure profitability and healthy inventories;
  • Information gathering, information retrieval, statistical analysis, and qualitative analysis;
  • Reviewing geographic specific reports to provide data and strategy for the overall planning process;
  • Global alignment of teams to complete cross-functional projects within Fortune 500 companies;
  • Risk assessment management;
  • Translation of Consumer, Sales, and Marketplace Insights into strategy; and
  • Excel, TM1, Cognos and Tableau.
