Warby Parker is on the lookout for a detail-oriented Merchandise Planner to help support the decision-making behind our product offering, long-term forecasts, and business strategies. In this role, you’ll work directly with the Director of Merchandise Planning & Strategy to build plans for the growing business. You’ll define forecast methodologies, reporting structures, and sales strategies. Our ideal candidate is no stranger to analysis and is able to consider past, present, and future figures. Excellent communication skills are also a must since you’ll own reporting to our cross-functional partners and senior leadership. What You’ll Do
- Own SKU level, lens level, and high level (open-to-buy) sales plans and inventory targets
- Develop understanding of inventory flow from forecast to PO to receipt
- Drive inputs to the annual budgeting process
- Perform hindsight analysis to guide planning and strategic decisions
- Proactively call out opportunities and risks to key metrics
- Develop reporting and forecasting methodologies to support the team as our contacts business scales
- An analytical thinker with 3–5 years of experience in a role focusing on forecasting and analysis, preferably on a consumer product
- The proud owner of a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
- Capable of building processes and reports from scratch to identify opportunities and risks
- Highly analytical and strategic
- A self-starter who’s comfortable navigating uncharted territory
- Someone with a strong interest in retail and an understanding of industry dynamics
- A proactive, eloquent team player who’s comfortable collaborating with colleagues across the organization
- A strong communicator, both in writing and in person
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
- Wizard-level excel skills (particularly in modeling)
- A strong understanding of retail math (costing, gross margins, turn, etc.)
- Strategic analysis/model building experience (extra, extra credit!)

The salary range for the Merchandise Planner role in New York City is $75,250–$86,000. Warby Parker, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Warby Parker may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible to receive a cash bonus and an equity bonus as part of the total compensation package.
