The Role

The Merchandise Planner will be responsible for supporting Teva North America eCommerce. The Merchandise Planner will own Tops Down Planning, forecasting end-to-end, In-Season product forecasting and analysis focused on achieving sales, margin, and inventory targets for Teva North America. The planner is responsible for maintaining in-stock positioning through accurate forecasting and for partnering cross-functionally on successful integration into our buying process.

The Merchandise Planner will also be responsible for managing and distributing reporting for the Performance Lifestyle Group (HOKA, Teva and Sanuk)

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Own Pre-Season sales and inventory planning by class. Establish retail, gross margin, AUR, AUC, units, and receipts goals
  • Attend and participate in Go-To-Market and Brand Conference Meetings. Provide Tops Down planning sales and inventory data if needed. Play a role in product assortment and flow timing.
  • Lead Investment Review meetings. Present Pre-Season tops down plan to senior leadership and cross functional partners, including Merchandising, Ecommerce, Marketing, and Brand.
  • Create Open-to-Buy forecasting for Teva and inform RF, shared with Wall Street.
  • Own monthly Open-to-Buy meetings with cross functional partners and leaders. Share risk/beat to RF and Budget.
  • Set targets for traffic, conversion, orders, UPT, and ATV for Teva eCommerce based on marketing and site activation daily strategies.
  • Share performance against forecast and plan with broader DTC team during Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and provide actionable insights that ensure business will meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Manage product lifecycle. Build out markdown process and cadence to align with product launch and exit timing. Create markdown calendar, set markdown sales and units expectations to meet margin goals.
  • Own and manage In-Season style forecasting for key Teva drivers, analyzing historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunity for agreed upon style-color assortment. Incorporate forecasts into pre-season planning and ensure Merchants are buying with accurate BOP targets.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for PLG brands. Build and manage sales and inventory reports, leveraging Tableau reporting tools. Identify areas of opportunity to refine reporting and define additional requirements needed for effective reporting tools.

We would love to hear from people with

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience
  • 2-3 years of merchandise planning, inventory management, buying or finance in retail environment preferred
  • 1-2 years of forecasting experience
  • eCommerce experience (preferred not required)
  • Experience with retail math
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
