Job description

A new and urgent position is now available as a Merchandiser for a small luxury ladies bridal and occasion wear brand in East London.

This opportunity would be suitable to an experienced junior merchandiser, used to embrace many different analytical responsibilities and confident in working autonomously, ready for next step up to Merchandiser. Please note this is not a Visual Merchandiser role.

The role requires top level management of merch reporting, buying and being the main and only driver of merchandise planning. The ideal candidate will manage stock holdings and lead communications with regards to stock and logistics management and be the only responsible for merchandising at the London location in terms of management. This person will be seeking the opportunity to step out of the traditional structure of Merchandising, and step into a challenging and varied role at a small company (20 staff) that is growing rapidly.

Tasks will be the following

Reporting & Analysis:

* Creating & implementing merchandising tools & processes to help deliver sales, grow the business, and improve efficiencies.

* Supporting teams across the business with reporting and use of excel.

* Managing implemented merchandising tools & processes and delegating where necessary.

* Developing and running weekly/quarterly/annual sales and performance reports and leading trade meetings with the relevant teams.

* Analyse and react to sales results by proposing strategies to support consistent growth.

* Working with the sales team & the design team to analyse range performance & suggest actions or areas of opportunity during seasonal range reviews.

* Produce annual sales forecasts and quarterly reforecasts, aligning with the relative financial plans and breaking down into retail and wholesale team targets.

* Produce OTB sheets in line with sales forecast updates.

* Submitting regular proposals for buying of running lines and NOOS, against the most up to date OTB.

* Action discontinuations when styles fall beneath target performance levels.

* Managing of product costings, and range pricing sign off.

Stock Management & Logistical:

* Managing stock to maximise sales across channels and maximise margins by keeping key styles in stock and reacting to slow selling lines to clear in the most profitable way.

* Lead communications with the Sales, Production/Logistics and Marketing teams to ensure the critical path is running smoothly and customer deliveries and product launches are always on time.

* Management of the wholesale ordering process from submission to production to allocating and shipping to customers.

Management Tasks:

* Managing all workflows relating to the running of Merchandising and Logistics.

* Management of junior Merchandising staff and all of their KPI's.

* Managing Asana workflows relating to Merchandising, Logistics and Production.

* Meeting quarterly with Sales, Design and Marketing teams to ensure Asana workflows are aligning.

* Facilitating new staff onboarding by setting up Asana Onboarding Projects, hosting welcome meetings and being a senior point of contact in the welcome period.
