L*Space, an established fast growing premium swimwear and apparel manufacturer based in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Merchandiser for our merchandising team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with Director of Merchandising to develop seasonal line plans by category to build a compelling assortment that is successful at Wholesale and ECOM
Actively participate and works closely with Design team and Director of Merchandising in line reviews to ensure a well-balanced assortment
Maintain all seasonal tools: Line Plan, Merch Buysheet, CADs, Costing Files etc.
Partner with Design, PD and Production to hit target margins
Review weekly sales recaps by channel, category, product type, and color – incorporate key learnings into future product strategies and identify assortment opportunities
Continually think outside the box on how to drive key product strategies, chase trends, improve speed-to-market and increase profitability
Complete competitive analysis of the retail landscape on a regular basis
Work with cross functional partners to adhere to internal development calendar, ensuring timely sample deliveries
Build trusting relationships with all parts of the organization to allow for open feedback and forward-thinking dialogue
Provide all product information for sales pre-market, facilitating line-to-sales meetings.
Manage off-calendar product requests, exclusives, and collaborations to ensure that key deliverable dates are met
Oversee order and accuracy of CAD and line updates on a weekly basis
Attend weekly fittings and provide insight on styling and fit
Travel and attend trade shows as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in Retail or Wholesale Merchandising
Knowledge of retail math and merchandise planning
Analytical experience in retail math including mark-up, gross margins, sell-through, etc.
Computer literate with a strong emphasis on Excel
Detail oriented, solution-oriented team-player
Strong interpersonal skills
Full Circle experience is preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in Retail Fashion Buying is preferred
