In this role, you will support the development and execution of merchandise strategies that delight the customer while meeting or exceeding the financial goals of MZ Wallace. As the commercial backbone of the product development process, you will work closely with your cross functional partners using customer insights, market data and business performance to bring great products to market.


  • Support and guide execution of brand strategic vision through building strong assortments and supporting business strategies
  • Act as a point of contact with cross-functional teams (design, product development, sales and production)
  • Support seasonal buy process, OTB and line planning
  • Partner with Design, and Product Development on costing , pricing, and quality needs
  • Review and react to weekly, monthly and quarterly business reports, making merchandising decisions in partnership with leadership to maximize results and minimize risk
  • Partner with logistics to understand flow and timing of seasonal deliveries
  • Perform research analysis of market and identify key trends and opportunities that can be implemented into assortment strategy, identifying key opportunities supporting financial goals
  • Assist in maintaining and distributing accurate reports and tools


  • 4-6 years of merchandising/ buying experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Self-starter
  • Strong ability to identify and execute priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Have a proactive approach to responsibilities
  • Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities
