Merchandiser - Men's
The Merchandiser will own specified product and category management on the Merchandising Team, while supporting and collaborating with Design, Product Development and Planning counterparts to help facilitate the execution of these products in multiple seasons. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail, and a passion for clothing. The Merchandiser is organized and hardworking with the ability to perform all functions of the job quickly and efficiently. They are excited to continue to learn and develop new skills with an aptitude to learn quickly and adapt in a growing environment.
What you’ll do :
- Drive designated product collections and assortments in partnership with Design team
- Partner with the Planning team to strategize on pre-season buys (inventory buys, style and color rankings) and in season business performance.
- Partner with team on trend analysis, inspiration and market research for new product development as well as competitive analysis in designated
- Help prepare seasonal roadmap for Product Development (Assortment Plan/Scorecard process)
- Lead cost targets and pricing structures with recommendations to vendors/team
- Present new line at Line Review to senior executive team and channel leads, and walk through strategy, price points, end use and “why we need this”
- Maintain organized sample management library for Line & Investment Reviews
- Identify future opportunities through sales, store visits, competitive shopping, trend research
- Maintain up to date knowledge of key competitor product offerings and pricing
- Help drive Visual Merchandising Strategy in collaboration with Marketing Manager and Visual Merchandising Teams
- Coordinate with Marketing teams and Revenue channels to coordinate and launch new products
- Adhere to strict calendar dates to deliver on time product
- 4+ years of experience in apparel merchandising
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative to complete tasks
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for all things data
- Understanding of color, fabric, garment construction and fit
- Excellent ability to multitask and ability to adapt when business priorities shift
- Positive attitude and commitment to work hard through difficult problems with respect for all team members
- You are a team player who is not afraid to take on additional assignments that appear above or beneath you
- Exceptional communication skills up, down, and across the organization
- Strong organizational, attention to detail, and follow up skills
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Experience in an ERP system, Netsuite preferred
- Experience in a PLM system, Centric preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel
