Job Summary:

The Merchandiser collaborates closely with Design, Tech, Product Integrity, Sourcing, and Sales to brief, build, manage, and launch innovative infant and children’s accessory & travel products. This position will manage and guide the product creation process from market & sales analysis and product briefing through product launch. This position will develop concepts and products that are brand, customer, and consumer relevant while considering differences in culture, lifestyle, trend, and evolving consumer tastes. This position will develop products that meet Goldbug's quality, desirability, margin, and sustainability goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop brand right seasonal strategies and product assortments for each season and each brand within your responsibility.
  • Collaboratively develop and champion seasonal calendar with cross functional team.
  • Develop pricing structure that aligns with account specific positioning and profit goals and identifies target FOB costing parameters.
  • Build and manage line review meetings internally as well as to our customers for product sell in.
  • Create product documentation to communicate product expectations to design and tech partners. Continue to manage product development process via PLM throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage the development of product packaging, marketing tools including photo shoots, digital content, etc. in coordination with Marketing Ops.
  • Manage product and packaging cost negotiations with manufacturing partners in coordination with Marketing Ops.
  • Build and maintain product financials that accurately show all product cost attributes and share with cross functional partners.
  • Develop and deliver product presentations to internal and external partners.
  • Work closely with ecom teams to maximize business results for online platform.
  • Perform ongoing research and analysis of current product productivity, competitor and market analysis, price studies, and product bench marketing.

  • Have strong presentation skills, excellent listening skills, and superbly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adopt, embrace, and promote calendar mastery.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Illustrator & PLM.
  • Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, marketing, business management or other apparel/fashion related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years product management or apparel merchandising experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Other job Details:

  • Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
  • Status: Full time exempt
  • Reports to: Reports to Director of Travel
