We are looking for a Merchandising Manager to lead the APLA Jordan Brand Men’s and Kid’s Footwear business.

As the APLA Jordan Men’s and Kid’s Footwear Merchandising Manager, you'll be part of the Asia Pacific and Latin America geography, whose main goal is to represent and serve the voice of the consumers who inhabit six major markets in this region (Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and India, Australia & New Zealand, Mexico, and Central and South America).
Responsible for building and driving a men’s and kid’s footwear assortment strategy that revolves around Jordan’s existing and future consumers both for performance and streetwear, the Jordan marketplace landscape across different cities, and Jordan’s product strategies. Use data and consumer insights to support your decisions and build a productive, profitable, and healthy business.What you will work on
As Merchandising Manager, use marketplace data, consumer insights, foresight and hindsight to influence and develop seasonal plans to serve our consumer, leading with Members and digital. Represent the Asia Pacific and Latin America Jordan consumer by providing qualitative and quantitative insights to the Product Creation teams, the Global Merchandising team and your cross functional partners. Lead the management of our merchandising KPI’s through robust analysis of retail insights and performance. Build positive and honest relationships with your partners (including Nike Direct, Membership, Marketing, and Territory Merchants, among others) to build and land assortments that meet the needs of consumers and take them to a new place. Work with your cross functional team to maintain the optimal balance between a pull and push market. Together we'll strategically plan scarcity for certain products and maximize the commercial opportunity for others.Who you will work with
This role collaborates with a cross functional Jordan, Nike Direct team and SNKRS/NBHD team to ensure your assortment strategies meet the Jordan Brand strategy and Jordan market opportunities of the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions. Together, we will plan, broadcast, and track the results of such strategies to ensure Jordan continues to serve the sneaker, streetwear, and basketball communities.What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
- At least 4 years’ experience in merchandising, product creation, and or retail, in a vertical or wholesale environment
- Footwear, apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience
- Proficiency in retail and profit based metrics
- Assortment planning experience
- A high taste level for product
- Proven storytelling capabilities
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
- A keen understanding of the Jordan consumer, product and marketplace is preferred
