We are looking for consumerists with an affinity for product that enjoys the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer. A successful Merchandising Manager will thrive and contribute to a positive and progressive team dynamic, as well as lead in a way that elevates the total team.

This role is responsible for building consumer right assortments for the Foot Locker, Inc Men’s Apparel by using historical data, analytics, and real-time market feedback to advise the future (coming seasons) while winning today (trading real-time)!

The candidate should possess proven retail competence and analytical abilities, understand retail environments, and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business. They are comfortable overseeing the daily work of individual contributors within a structured coaching framework.


You will be an integral part of the Foot Locker Marketplace team located in Beaverton, OR; using key consumer knowledge to influence seasonal direction to serve consumers. You will be the eyes and ears of the competitive landscape through Foot Locker, Inc. key insights.

You will onboard the seasonal assortment plans driving the seasonal priorities and strategy which is critical for success to serve consumers at Foot Locker, Inc. with an understanding of their position in the marketplace.

You will also lead and drive our Geography Express Lane Apparel strategy and Team Edition process for Foot Locker, Inc. by setting the calendar, ensuring dates and gates are met and keeping all teams informed of updates.


You will work with Consumer Merchants, Foot Locker, Inc Planning, External Buying Teams, and our Consumer Direct Marketing Team relying on business reporting for your area which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory, and consumer behaviors.

You will report to the Men’s Merchandising Director on the Foot Locker, Inc Marketplace Unit.



- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience

- 4 years experience in footwear or apparel merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand or digital environment

- Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or relevant consumer product merchandising experience

- Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT and others

- Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action

- Ability to travel up to 10%
