DIFF Charitable Eyewear seeking a creative, self-starting and driven merchant to join our team. The success and quality of our brand are attributed to the talent of our people, which is why we hire leaders and innovators, not employees or staff.


The Merchant will be responsible for overseeing product development and implementation from the beginning of the process in assortment and SKU planning all the way through to the end of the process in passing off to marketing and ensuring deliverables are met. This role is grounded in exceptional cross-functional communication and planning along with the ability to see trends and implement them into the product creation process. Reporting into the DMM, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the DIFF and dime Optics business. The ideal candidate must be a team player who is creative, nimble, organized, and able to work in a fast paced/ever changing environment.


  • Develop and merchandise the assortment for Sun and Optical under the DIFF Umbrella that align with the customer, brand and overall department strategies, including financial goals.
  • Partner with the DMM to create seasonal assortments and line plans by delivery that meets the needs of the business down to the style/sku level.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and factories to ensure deliverables are met according to the production calendar. To include: factories, design, license, marketing, wholesale, operations.
  • Research in season and future opportunities and risks and communicate out along with analyzing and communicating market research. To include: pricing, styling, design, balance assortment, core and fashion styles
  • Follows market trends and is able to understand and make improvements and enhancements to the product.
  • Identifies key items and growth opportunities within the brands and categories.
  • Ability to track to Production Calendar while also working on faster speed to market collaborations, ensuring all have timely and quality deliveries.


  • 4+ years of merchandising experience in the role of Assistant/Associate Buyer or Merchant
  • Strong analytical skills
