Who Are We Looking For?

Nike seeks a Consumer Direct Marketing and Integrated Media Planning Director to join our Brand Marketing Operations One Marketing Planning team! This person will have experience leading brand, digital, O2O, or retail marketing teams to develop integrated marketing plans in a cross-functional marketing offense. The CDM & IM Planning Director is responsible for helping define and align our brand priorities in North America, in partnership with the North America Brand Marketing Leadership Team and other critical functions across the enterprise. You will be responsible for ensuring the One Marketing integrated planning process is running effectively, efficiently and delivering according to Nike’s daily, seasonal and long-term marketing objectives. You are part of a management team, partnering to establish and lead planning best practices and expertise.

The CDM & IM Planning Director is highly organized, results driven, is an expert at brand strategy, organizational management and fluent in the tools, data and capabilities that power our consumer direct ecosystem. You balance the needs of planning with the soft skills required to orchestrate, coach, and inspire your team. You are the conduit to internal functional partners, establishing and upholding these relationships. You are a systematic and are continually forward-thinking, overseeing marketing strategy to meet the ever-changing marketplace.

What Will You Work On?

As CDM and IM Planning Director, you will create the future by managing the development of the Annual CDM Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Seasonal Marketing Planner building from the Brand Architecture, and lead planning for SKO gate for the One Marketing planning team. You will lead the upstream consumer code process from Geo/ Global handover moment through Seasonal Kick-Off, ensuring deeper clarity in our brand direction leading with CDM and consistent measurement of our brand performance to fuel continuous improvement and enable our priorities to be resourced to ensure individuals are getting rest and recovery. This includes the development of budgets to meet business goals. You develop a team partnership with One Marketing Planning peers to build-out our brand direction, review the results and socialize lessons we apply to the future.

Who Will You Work With?

You will report directly to Senior Director of One Marketing Planning. You are the key operational partner to this leader and will drive a cross-functional team. You are the key partner to Program Management who drive the downstream process. You will partner closely with Program Management Directors and Program Managers to ensure work is appropriately managed between your teams. Your primary cross-functional business partners include Brand Management, CDM, Media, Studio Management and Project Management, while working closely with Production and Program Development and Capabilities on our end-to-end brand marketing process. You will partner with Consumer Direct Marketing sub-functions, Integrated Media, Brand Creative and key cities to ensure that upstream brand planning serves our business goals.

What You Bring To Nike
  • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training

  • A strategic attitude with innovative problem-solving ability
  • Deep expertise in Brand/Channel Management, Marketing Strategy and driving O2O excellence
  • Strong awareness of digital, data, media measurement and analytics
  • Expertise in Finance, Data/Analytics and Consumer Insights
  • Experience building marketing budgets to meet business goals
  • Demonstrates effective communication across a range of mediums
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with senior leadership
  • Master of driving collaboration and integration across multiple teams
  • Confidence in shaping and supporting leadership agendas to drive vision
  • Systematic problem solver with the ability to drive and enable end-to-end process
  • 8+ years experience in a creative, fast-paced and complex marketing environment
  • Proven ability to use consumer insights and industry trends to shape useful strategies
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive alignment across matrix teams
  • The temperament of a leader: inspirer, flexible, resilient, empathetic and assertive
