Pattern Maker

CP Shades is seeking a Technical Designer/Patternmaker: Full-time, M-F 9a-5p @ our Sausalito HQ

This role will be working alongside our Senior Patternmaker in all aspects of technical design-- including fabric shrink tests, spec measurements, issuing samples and production markers, and aid in patternmaking and pattern adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and openness in learning and receiving constructive feedback. They are passionate with product, highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

• managing and measuring fabric shrink tests

• measuring and updating specs in spec sheets

• keeping sample standards organized

• Receive samples and prep them for fittings

• Coordinate, prepare and organize fit samples for live model fittings and inspect samples following company quality standards

• Take notes in fittings

• Assist cross-functional teams and handle ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar role

• Proficient in fundamentals of Gerber software

• Basic understanding and knowledge of fabric types and garment construction

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication

• Ability to sketch in adobe illustrator a plus

• Familiarity with Excel a plus
