PATTERN MAKER DESIGN TO PRODUCTION PATTERNS

Norma Kamali Inc is a fast-paced contemporary fashion & lifestyle brand based in New York City. The collection created 4xs a year with monthly deliveries encompasses division of rtw, sportswear, dresses, jackets, coats, active sportswear and swimwear.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate with hands on experience to work cross functionally with the design and production team in this fast-paced dynamic environment

Responsibilities

• Work directly with designer and the designer only speaks English so fluent English is required
• 85% fabrics primarilycut sew knits.
• Dresses, jackets, and suiting are classifications included in pattern making responsibilities.
• Ready to wear sportswear is the category and we do not do evening gowns.
• In charge of creating patterns by taking directions directly from the designer.
• You will be responsible preparing the cutters must with fabric and trim information as a final pattern for production.
• Must be responsible for checking the samples after completion, fittings, and make corrections as needed.

At least 20 years’ experience required.

We are located in the west village in Manhattan.

This is a lead position with responsibilities reporting to the designer/owner
