Job Description:

The Retail Planner is responsible for creating and managing sales and inventory plans for our boutiques and outlets. The position is responsible for analyzing, identifying, and identifying sales opportunities and risk. This role reports directly to the Planning Director and will collaborate closely with the Store Managers and Buying teams.


  • Create annual sales plans for Lafayette 148 Boutiques and Outlets
  • Submit weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts
  • Manage and review OTB (sales, MD, receipts, inventory) with retail team and develop strategies to achieve plan
  • Build seasonal buy plans (on a category /store level) that support corporate initiatives
  • Partner and support buying / stores on a regular basis to identify risks and opportunities and formulate strategies.
  • Report performance and trends in weekly business meetings
  • Review replenishment forecast and stock needs
  • Partner with retail teams to ensure SKU plans are in line with capacity
  • Support buying team on building tools to improve productivity


  • Bachelor’s degree


  • 3-5 years Retail planning. Department store experience a plus.


  • Attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly analytical and quantitative skills with ability to think strategically
  • Proactive work ethic, able to work independently
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and achieve deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative and able to work cross functionally
  • Strong computer skills; comfortable with learning new systems and building reports
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v/x-lookups, etc.) required
