WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our team seeks a Planning Manager within the Jordan Brand! In this role, you will be at the heart of the Jordan Brand marketplace team focused on providing the Jordan marketplace team with in-season analysis, management, and pre-season planning. As a Planning Manager, you’ll bring high-energy, a self-starter mentality, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous environments. Strong collaboration is key, you’ll proactively build positive relationships across the Nike organization. As a leader within DSM, you’ll embrace and lead change, cultivate innovation, and value differences.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

On any given day you might be developing style-level retail sales and inventory plans to inform financial plans, assortments, and buy decisions. You’ll also manage in-season optimization through trading and allocation, markdowns, and promotions and liquidations. Finally, you’ll keep a pulse on the business: analyzing sales results, preparing key item forecasts, managing order books, and selling-in products at final line reviews. This work will challenge you to build complex reports, as well as prepare, edit, and deliver assortment documents, and collaborate with multiple internal and external partners.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll be a point person for the Jordan Brand at World Headquarters and report to the Jordan Brand Planning Director. You’ll collaborate daily with a variety of groups and individuals including: merchandising, merchandise financial planning, marketing, our marketplace teams as well as supporting our third-party wholesale account.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related field or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 4+ years experience in planning with emphasis on retail business planning, reporting, and analytics.
  • 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Moderate to advance Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to sift through large amounts of data, identify critical information, analyze, and make recommendations.
  • Strong ability to influence through compelling communication.
  • Able to think critically and understand the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying gaps to bottoms-up financial plan.
