About the Role

The Print Designer focuses on the Women's Sweaters, Outerwear, & Bottoms product as part of the broader Old Navy Print & Pattern Team. In this role, you will work in an energizing, inclusive, and creative environment focused on concepting and creating emotional artwork. You will manage the design process from market research and conception through to artwork and print development for your assigned product categories.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for managing the design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Senior Designer and Director to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.
  • Consistently shop and research marketplace, including our competitors for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash, color.
  • Research identify and present print trend direction.
  • Actively participates in the conceptual development of the print story and seasonal direction.
  • Designs prints for Women's apparel categories
  • Ensure print is consistent with market trends and business strategy.
  • Ensure print is designed within cost parameters.
  • Ensure print is designed in alignment with brand aesthetic and sensibility.
  • Create and present design boards for each season showcasing print direction.
  • Works closely with design partner to ensure print point of view is in line with overarching seasonal direction.
  • Create artwork and prints for each season.
  • Seasonal travel or research and/or product development is required - frequency TBD.
Who You Are
  • Strong design and conceptual skills.
  • Strong knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques & fabric.
  • Strong sense of textile and color application.
  • Proficient in Illustrator and capable in Photoshop, InDesign, NED Graphics.
  • Positive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Thrives in highly collaborative environment and builds strong relationships with business partners & teammates.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to identify key trends and determine how they appropriately relate to the brand/ consumer.
  • Ability manage and help develop skills of direct reports.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • College degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years design experience.
