Product Developer
The Product Developer at ANETIK will manage and drive the creation process of Ultralight Outdoor Apparel by transforming a designer’s idea, sketch, modification, or two-dimensional rendering into a commercially viable product. You will respond to or guide idea generation, material selection, construction, material sourcing and product testing. You will be responsible for managing communication directly with factories to create prototypes, test new concepts and refine the product’s construction and fit over multiple rounds of prototypes. You will work closely with factories and in-house partners to review and finalize development costs.
The position requires extensive knowledge of apparel construction, product end-use, fit, and costing. Throughout each season you will support the ANETIK business and report all necessary performance metrics to the management team. You will be held accountable to the corporate calendar, as well as to the company’s financial goals. You are a team player, a master collaborator, a problem solver, and will work closely with a variety of cross-functional partners.
Product Development
-Seasonal Line Plan and Development Calendar – Leads planning, execution, and delivery of all Seasonal Line Plans with clear development due dates communicated internally.
-Trims, Prints, and Fabric Innovation – Leads planning, sourcing, and completion of all seasonal product Trims, Prints, and New Fabric Development.
-R&D Management – Leads all new product development, prototype inventory, and documentation of field testing results.
-Fit and Spec Management – Responsible for management of all current and future product Fit Specs ensuring correct details are consistently updated and delivered to factory as needed.
-Tech Pack Management – Responsible for all construction, organization, and delivery of correct tech packs to factory.
-Packaging Design – Responsible for all planning, design, and on-time production of finished goods packaging.
Factory Management
-Factory Communication – Leads all factory communication ensuring both new development and current production details are being clearing communicated to prevent any potential misunderstandings or unnecessary bulk production mistakes.
-Final Production Quality Control – Responsible for management of all final PPS approvals and QC review of finished production landed per incoming shipment.
-PO Construction and Seasonal Line Detail Updates – Assists Sales Management with all new Purchase Order construction ensuring required seasonal style, color, and fabric details are correctly applied to POs prior to factory delivery.
-Leadtime Production Calendar Management – Leads consistent communication between Factory and Internal Sales team to confirm all Production Leadtime requirements are understood and executed on per delivery due dates.

Experience You Bring:
-3+ years’ Experience in Product Development.
-Degree in a related field of product development, apparel / textile design, technology.
-Strong understanding of Outdoor Apparel end use, construction, and manufacturing
-Strong knowledge of material construction and properties, pattern making, costing, etc.
-Proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers.
-Detailed understanding of the design, development, and merchandising process from inception through to production.
-Comprehensive understanding of technical fit, and ability to fit both on model and on dress form as well as the ability to instruct a manufacturer on necessary changes to a pattern to influence the fit.
-Strong understanding of product costing and ability to offer appropriate solutions that help meet category margin goals while maintaining key product specifications.
-Deep working knowledge using Apple computers and strong skills using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and all Microsoft Office applications.
