Product Development Assistant for Activewear Apparel Fashion Company

is seeking a

Product Development Assistant

to join our team. As the Product Development Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our designs are accurately translated into final products. You will sit between the design, production, and technical departments, working to develop and execute tech packs that outline product specifications, fit, and construction details. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in product development within the apparel industry, strong knowledge of tech pack development, fit, and construction, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.

ResponsibilitiesWork with the design/production team to develop accurate and detailed tech packs that outline product specifications, fit, and construction details

Coordinate with the production team to ensure that product development schedules are adhered to and all products are delivered on time

Work with factories to oversee product development and ensure that all products meet quality standards

Monitor product costs to ensure that products remain within budget constraints

Communicate effectively with factories to ensure that all products are developed accurately and efficiently

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all products meet design and quality standards

Assist Product Development Coordinators

Prepare the packages to go out to overseas

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development within the apparel industry

Knowledge of tech pack development, fit, and construction

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Must be proficient in Excel, Photo shop, Illustrator

Understanding of planning on production environment

Annual salary range

$46,000 to $60,000 ****
