What you will experience:  

Product Supply Chain Interns typically support the following areas:  

Footwear Chemical Engineer 

Nike’s Footwear Manufacturing team is looking for a chemical engineer to lead material analysis and vendor validation in Footwear Chemicals! In this role, you will partner across Nike’s footwear, materials, and sustainability teams to analyze and validate chemical materials and assess chemical vendors’ capabilities and performance. To be successful, you will rely on your background in chemical engineering and statistical analysis as well as your skills in program management and communication. 

Apparel Innovation Engineer 

Nike Apparel Innovation is looking for mechanical, industrial, and chemical engineers to join our team. As an Apparel Innovation Engineering Intern, you will use your engineering, data analytics, problem-solving, and communication skills to affect critical decisions related to our product development, innovation, and manufacturing processes. You will work alongside senior engineers on technical, production, and process-oriented problem-solving. The types of projects you work on may include new manufacturing technology development, deployment, integration, and education.  

Materials & Apparel Product Integrity Engineer 

Nike Materials and Apparel Product Integrity teams are looking for engineers with background in materials science or engineering (textile, chemical, mechanical) to lead quality engineering projects with our team. Your work may involve testing product performance, continuous improvement of test methods and standards, or developing manufacturing quality management risk assessments and issue resolution strategies. You will excel in these roles if you have a passion for solving complex problems, strong data analytical skills, and technical experience with materials science, development, and/or engineering. Strong communication skills and ability to navigate ambiguity will be essential to your success.

What you will bring: 

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025 

  • Preferred degrees include: Materials Science, Engineering (Materials, Textile, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or similar fields 

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development preferred 

  • Strong data analytics and strategic thinking skills 

  • Ability to analyze problems, develop innovative solutions, and deal with ambiguity and frequent changes in priorities
