Production Designer

CAVA is looking for a production designer to help manage, grow, and implement the creative vision of our brand. You will play an integral role in the creation of marketing communications, creative campaigns, and branded materials and experiences. This role is a key player on our forward-looking and fast-paced creative team. The core purpose of this position is to develop, iterate, and deliver creative assets across our digital and print ecosystem, contributing to a best-in-class guest experience. You will have an acute attention to detail, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel. This role requires a team player who has agency experience and enjoys working in a highly-collaborative environment. You’ll work closely with Senior Designers on the team and will help execute final deliverables.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and assist in the production of assets for digital and print content, inclusive of signage, print materials, emails, social, paid, and out-of-home.
  • Work collaboratively & iteratively with art directors, designers, copywriters, and brand strategists to execute and deliver on-brand clear, organized, and elevated content.
  • Work within a defined but dynamic brand system, to ensure creative is aligned across deliverables.
  • Maintain responsibility for projects from creative hand-off through final delivery.
  • Produce necessary mock-ups and design visuals for approvals.
  • Adapt, resize, and rework creative collateral across both print and digital mediums.
  • Help evolve the CAVA brand system through style guides, templates, iconography, typography, illustrations, and visual imagery.
  • Proactively monitor artwork quality, proportions, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Deliver production-ready files on time and with attention to detail. Check printer-supplied proofs to ensure accuracy when compared to released artwork.
  • Be a critical and creative thinker, to help pitch ideas that solve the problems of the brief and help further and elevate our brand.
  • Manage tasks using Notion, Figma, Monday, and Slack.

The Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' of experience working as a junior or production designer at an agency or fast paced in-house team. Branding experience, a big plus.
  • 2+ years' of experience working on design, production, and adaption of assets to different channels, both print and digital.
  • Have an expert knowledge of Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Ability to proactively prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects within time constraints and with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working across many different platforms while building consistency.
  • Meticulous eye for detail and trained in typography + layout.
  • Top-tier visual storytelling skills, understanding how visual design decisions impact the intended audience.
  • Ability to be flexible, to adapt quickly to change, and to focus and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Positive, go-getter attitude; passion for storytelling and helping build a growing brand.
  • Strategic creative thinking, to help positively contribute to ideation sessions and proactively solve challenges as they arise.
  • Genuine interest in lifestyle brands, and how they communicate with their consumers.
  • Experience working with brand refreshes and within brand guidelines.
  • Experience with workflow/project management tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
