Role Overview

Van Cleef & Arpels is looking for a Regional Visual Merchandiser, Central/Canada to join the Visual Merchandising team and to support our boutiques. This position is fundamental in maintaining and implementing the Maison’s visual standards in our Central/Canada Region boutiques; and ensures a consistent client journey throughout our retail network. The role will be our visual merchandising expert, traveling extensively up to 60%+ of the time to support the boutiques within store merchandising, product launches, events, special animations, store openings and everything in between to make sure our boutiques are kept to the highest standards. The position is based in Chicago and supports the following boutiques: Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Vancouver, Yorkdale. Communication in this role is vital, as you will be the liaison between the boutiques and corporate teams on all related to Visual Merchandising, zoning/marketing, and the overall appearance of the boutique.

Responsibilities

The role is responsible for maintaining Visual Merchandising alignment by implementing zoning plans and guidelines in the Central/Canada Boutiques through Visual Merchandising practices. quarterly visits, monthly visits to support special animations, communications with teams, training and working with teams on standards, ensuring correct PLV and signage. The role will also create Monthly Visual Merchandising Reports/recaps to share with broader teams.

The Regional Visual Merchandiser will also support Event Launches, Special Events and Window Animations and liaise with marketing on model looks and merchandising updates needed on the boutique floor for events and will be required to be onsite at events to implement Visual Merchandising needs. The role will assist with overall boutique appearance by liaising with Store Planning and Retail Operations, updating library appearance, and working with florists to ensure weekly flowers follow guidelines. The Regional Visual Merchandiser will also support with Visual Merchandising for new boutique openings and assist with coordinating and shooting Visual Merchandising directives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Visual Merchandising Certificate
  • 2 Plus year visual merchandising or retail experience preferred. Luxury experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint and excel.
  • Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • SAP knowledge a plus
  • Must be enthusiastic professional able to receive constructive criticism
  • Must be proactive and open to updates
  • Needs to be able to take good quality photos
  • Need to be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of regular hours (overnights) to support events as needed
  • This candidate should have direct merchandising and in store experience with extreme attention to detail and perfection. Experience with fine jewelry a plus.
  • Excellent team player and interpersonal skills; the ability to interact with all levels within the company
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time and must have a driver’s license.
