TheSaucony Global Demand Planning Managerowns and is accountable for the Global Capacity and Production planning process, and the final plan, at the factory, month, region, and stock number level; assuring alignment between production plans, brand market strategies, product delivery plans, and Global revenue goals.

Primary Duties

  • Brand Demand Planning Operations: Leads demand planning strategies to maximize global product flow for meeting product launch dates and for level loading monthly production volumes. Reconcile sales forecasts and financial plans and translate these into unit forecasts by month to ensure monthly production plans will support revenue targets. Partners with regional, commercial and other key brand leaders to construct and refine demand forecasts.
  • Global Process Alignment: Manage the global forecasting through consistent communication, continuous improvement of tools, and setting timelines and deadlines. Manage the seasonal forecast planning milestone calendar.
  • Standard process and tools: Lead and evolve the standard brand forecasting procedures in PLM and BPS, including product coding for supporting system generated reporting.
  • SKU productivity: Provide results and guidance to the global product team for seasonal product line development based on improving productivity per SKU.
  • Factory Capacity and Production Planning Management:Collaborates with GOG on short, mid, and long-range production, forecasts by stock number, month, factory, and global region. Monitors and analyzes actual monthly factory production versus capacity plans and strategies.  Collaborates with commercialization and sourcing to ensure the product and the factory will be ready for production as planned.  Consistently monitors changes in monthly production and capacity plans, anticipates results of these changes, and initiates appropriate adjustments when results negatively affect delivery plans and commitments. Identifies delivery issues and constructs solutions.
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced Excel Capabilities
  • Experience in planning and/or merchandising
  • Strong analytical skills and business math skills
  • Highly organized and self-motivated; able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while still achieving agreed upon deadlines
  • Ability to develop, advance, and/or refine systems and processes
  • Forward looking, continuous improvement focus
  • Strong collaborator, team oriented
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of supply chain/factory process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • SAP experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment.  Some travel may be required.
