+ Leads the design team with a focus on continuously providing innovative, best in class product design solutions for review and potential implementation. Maintains goal of continuous product innovation and improvement.

+ Works collaboratively across the product creation team to define and develop new processes that enhance team efficiency in the commercialization process of innovative and inline products.

+ Provides best in class design packages which includes sketches, illustrations of construction details, and multiple product views.

+ Works collaboratively across an assigned product division and promotes a cohesive work environment with other product divisions by sharing best practices and brand strategies.


+ Able to work in a demanding, fast paced environment with a high level ofadaptability.

+ Leadsby example in the effective utilization of the product creation team’s resources, and works as a team member to ensure all timelines are met.

+ Expert knowledge of apparel design and development and expert knowledge of general design process from concept to pre-production.

+ Mentally capable to troubleshoot and solve problems of a moderate complexity or difficulty.


+ Eight plus years garment design/development experience in the apparel industry with progressively responsible experience for category creativity, development, and design.

+ Experience with outdoor industry and apparel categorypreferred.

+ Demonstratedexperience successfully leading a design team and/or providing the creative vision for a product category.

+ Requires a Bachelor’s degree specializing in apparel design, fabric arts, or related field. or related work experience equivalent to a degree. Associate’s degree with 2-3 years related work experience acceptable in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
