NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Lead design for Nike’s pinnacle apparel collections. Work on multiple seasonal collection with high fashion collaborators and global entertainers. Directly work with each collaborator to create Nike seasonal apparel collections. Design products that will be created and sold to consumers, including original artistic concepts, selection of appropriate materials, and modifications to ensure manufacturability. Contribute to seasonal creative strategy for products and line segments. Share knowledge and advancements with others. Follow the execution of all product details, including construction, detail, color, form, style, detail, fir performance, graphic application, and trim. Collaborate with design leadership and Category team members in Design, Development, and Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Art, Design, or Fashion Design and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or one year of experience involving the following:
- Working with the Sportswear/Athletic industry and external collaborators in the entertainment and Fashion industry;
- Collaboration with senior stakeholders, fashion designers, and global entertainers on company technology, innovation, craftsmanship, and sport;
- Collaboration with heads of fashion houses, global entertainers and senior stakeholders on design trends and industry standards;
- Application and performance design skills, such as drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, texture, or visual presentation;
- Physical Make, sewing, bonding, mockups, make garments; and
- Textile Engineering, including pattern cutting and working with textiles
