If you are a lover of Women's Fashion, the Sr. Buyer of Apparel oversees over $600M business with over 12 amazing brands! Responsibilities include: developing and delivering multi-platform business plans and strategies that meet the financial goals, driving innovation, new brands / ideas and out-of the-box concepts to lead white space opportunities and creating the vision for the office, and working across the organization to accomplish these strategies. Also, motivating a inspired team that helps to deliver. You will work with the Apparel GMM VP as a primary backup as there is no DMM in the division.

Our Team

  • This office has ownership over 12 award-winning fashion brands where you will put your private label / PD hat on to lead the way! While you will manage 3-4 direct reports the total office comprises of 9 merchants supporting the portfolio of 12 brands.
  • Brand volume can range from new and nurture brands and fashion brands at several stages in their lifecycle.

Your Impact

  • Build buying office strategies and manage the daily office functions overseeing 12 fashion brands. 50% of these brands will be designer celebrity brands and the other 50% are market vendor apparel brands.
  • Develop and deliver multi-platform short and mid-range business plans that exceed the financial goals.
  • Develop multi-platform plans to deliver sales, productivity, adjusted gross margin, TSV/TS achievement rates and inventory plans. Identify areas of growth while managing areas of risk.
  • Create the vision for the Apparel Fashion Buying area with a focus on contemporary and classic brands.
  • Deliver the buying strategy for the team, not only for direct team, but also for teams.
  • Seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and align others with the buying strategy.
  • Accelerate product discovery by leaning into new categories and product adjacencies.

What You Bring

  • Experience with Fashion, Apparel industry, developing private label, market vendor partnerships, and identifying. Experience leading private label apparel brands is required.
  • Years of Leadership, leading and empowering teams. You will have 3 direct reports and 9 merchants under layers of this buying office so sound leadership is what we're looking for.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a Retail Buying role. You are a Senior Buyer or Category Manager today, who has managed a large assortment in apparel private label and market vendors.
  • Builder of relationships/networks throughout the organization. You will partner with Global Sourcing, Design, Tech Design, Broadcasting and Digital.
  • Provide thoughts and opinions to senior management and be the face of 12 brands.
  • Draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business.
  • Experience with creative-thinking to achieve results.
