About The Job

The Senior Manager of Copy & Content sits on the Brand & Integrated Marketing team and will own the brand voice and messaging to support marketing efforts across the business. This critical role requires a creative and imaginative individual who can produce original, provocative, and engaging written content that also drives business growth. From concepting to execution, they will work on everything from seasonal and brand campaigns to content franchises to website copy to writing emails. Clear, detail-oriented communicators who have a deep understanding of fashion and culture will move to the top of our list.

What You’ll Do

  • Bring RTR’s new tone of voice to life in a fresh, compelling, and provocatively original way through full funnel copy and content
  • Lead development of fashion-focused copy, styling content and promotional messaging for emails, push, site, blog, collateral, packaging, and OTT (scripts)
  • Partner with Art Directors and Designers on creative concepts for seasonal moments, designer launches and brand moments Make sure copy and visuals work together to communicate the full picture.
  • Create innovative and original content franchises based on our evergreen brand and quarterly content strategy that live across the funnel
  • Leverage channel best practices, data and performance insights to deliver effective revenue-driving content that resonates with customers
  • Report on performance of messaging across key channels and identify opportunities to optimize
  • Collaborate with the social team to develop fresh and original social and creator campaigns, with a focus on TikTok
  • Help with social and paid marketing copy as needed
  • Manage a Copywriter

About You

  • 6+ years of experience in house at a high-growth consumer facing brand (additional agency experience a plus)
  • Experience managing, training and mentoring copywriters
  • Excellent communication, editing/proofreading, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, creative writing, English or fashion emphasis preferred
  • Experience writing women’s fashion copy (ecommerce experience a plus)
  • Digital-first writing style that understands how to stands out on social platforms - specifically TikTok
  • Deep understanding of current trends across fashion, music, art, design, food, travel and culture/the internet at largeDigital-first writing style that understands and stands our on social platforms
  • Ability to describe fashion trends and designers and give style advice to our modern customer in a sophisticated, friendly voice
  • Ability to work both alone and with a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $134,000 - $168,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for equity compensation.
