You are a “hands on” data driven engineering leader who enjoys the challenge of working with a highly collaborative cross functional team with responsibilities that are pivotal to the Tory Burch Order Management capabilities. The team builds and enhances all business-critical order management services to support e-commerce, store orders, omni channel routing/fulfillment and client services. You’re also resourceful and collaborative with a high bar for yourself, like to solve problems, and demonstrate tenacity when developing and instituting new processes and influencing adoption across technology and business.

A Day In The Life

The typical day is… atypical. You might be:

  • Leading the engineering team responsible for the implementation and support of the order management system.
  • Building and managing a high-performing team across geographical locations.
  • Participating in key technical and design discussions with technical leads in the team as a hands-on manager.
  • Supporting current Order Management platform and incrementally building out omnichannel capabilities leveraging organizational vision & strategy.
  • Managing a portfolio of services/projects, the intake of new requests, and their roadmaps ad works closely with product management to deliver business results.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and escalation workflows
  • Performing an in-depth analysis of the possible risks and countermeasures for them.
  • Developing best practices and guidelines to improve overall system reliability.
  • Educating the Dev and Ops (or DevOps) teams to follow the guidelines and best practices to minimize the number of errors and incidents.
  • Managing simulation & load testing for OMS application and preparation for scaled events readiness

To Land This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Prior experience with Order Management Systems such as IBM Sterling preferred
  • In-depth hands-on experience building microservices at scale using node.js, go lang, or Java.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience architecting and implementing leading Order Management solutions like IBM Sterling Order Management systems for clients in the areas of order orchestration, call center, store/vendor fulfillment, and returns. At least five full-lifecycle implementations of OMS.
  • Experience with distributed systems such as NoSQL databases, distributed cache, etc.
  • Experienced in integrating OMS with other enterprise applications and third-party services, experience in integration tools, formats, and techniques-XML, JSON, SOAP & Rest APIs, GraphQL
  • Good understanding of DevOps concepts and best practices
  • CI/CD implementation expertise
  • 2+ Years’ experience of leading teams as a people manager with a demonstrated ability to hire and grow engineers.
  • Experience in GCP/Azure or another equivalent cloud stack
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
