Job descriptionSenior Manager, Global Product Merchandising-Converse, Inc., Boston, MA. Responsible for briefing, creating and driving integrated, profitable, and relevant product offerings and assortments, expressing the category vision in the market place. Create, manage and assort product collections across categories to drive profitable, premium category assortments as well as premium consumer experiences for retail and wholesale customers. Ensure product creation and merchandised assortments allow appropriate segmentation, deliver differentiation of the market place and drive incremental growth. Manage and finalize all category assortment plans and gain resolution against issues on flow, pricing and distribution decisions. Work to ensure assortment category vision is driven to the retail floor and that end state is profitable consumer right assortments. Optimize the planning and placement of products in the appropriate format. Apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products, processes or services. Interpret customer needs, assess requirements, and identify solutions to non-standard requests. Monitor and control costs of own work and may manage costs for small projects or programs. Perform work in support of brand plans. Demonstrates link between daily work and company mission. Participate in initiatives, programs or products with moderate visibility.
Profile- Translation of Consumer, Sales, and Marketplace insights into strategy;
- Business planning, forecasting, and hind sighting;
- NuORDER and Flex;
- Multiyear line planning by apparel and accessories segments;
- Apparel roadmaps and scaling assortments;
- Creating and driving consumer right digital and physical assortments; and
- Data Analytics, including analysis and business planning with tableau.
