JOB OVERVIEW –

The Sr. Site Merchandiser is responsible for developing the seasonal ecommerce merchandise strategy to drive business growth and meet the financial plan. They will guide their direct team to create fast, easy and meaningful digital shopping experiences for our consumers. They will also be responsible for influencing the cross functional team, monitoring the market, partnering with the cross functional team to create clear, impactful stories, analyzing sales and data, identifying and prioritizing business opportunities, and user experiences. As a product owner, they will also be responsible for ensuring product is set-up, photographed and merchandised throughout the site to drive conversion and facilitate product browsing.

Reports To: President/Chief Commercial Officer

Responsibilities include

  • Oversee end to end setup of all products for the site, including the product description, fit/sizing guidance, pricing, imagery, product attributes, and cross-sells/up-sells (intern responsible for execution).
  • Partner with Merchandising and Ecommerce teams on project management and daily site maintenance needs that includes tracking receipt of new inventory and ensuring products are photographed and copy/descriptions are complete for all products.
  • Responsible for defining and managing appropriate site navigation, filtering, category management, and product assortment for optimal customer discoverability, purchase path flow and product positioning.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Marketing teams to create new shopping features, including landing pages, page layouts, and navigation that optimizes the site experience and increases online conversion rate.
  • Source and maintain all UGC and customer reviews, product recommendations, shop the look, as well as Search extensions and SEO friendly language (work with copywriter and SEO expert on SEO)
  • Ensure customer experiences is seamless throughout the funnel by consistently performing a series of checks of product pages, category pages, cross-sells, search keywords, and navigational elements.
  • Leverage web analytics to understand performance of and customer interaction with site content, such as categories, featured placements (including promotions/sales) and general online shopping experiences to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Execute markdown cadence on site as recommended by Merchandising & Planning teams.
  • Create, manage, and distribute reporting to track site KPIs such as category conversion, bounce rate, add to carts by page and product, AOV, abandon cart, etc.
  • Continuously review the competitive landscape to understand and identify emerging online trends, white space opportunities, and propose new ways to improve and evolve the customer’s online experience.
  • Partner with Customer Service to understand customer feedback and requests for site enhancements, including product requests and site Own the company’s digital product and technology roadmap: inclusive of strategy, vendor selection, budget, and execution/ optimization

QUALIFICATIONS –

  • 3-5 experience in a fast paced, Ecommerce environment
  • Strong online merchandising skills, with a proven track record of using data to maximize sales and customer experience.
  • Analytical and quantitative focus; ability to use data and metrics to develop assumptions.
  • Strong understanding and passion for websites, user experience and visual site merchandising.
  • Ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources and platforms.
  • Cross-functional project management experience.
  • Considers themselves to be a self-starter, ambitious in nature, detail oriented, and eager to drive the business with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment where entrepreneurial spirit is stronger than structure, systems and process.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus required; experience with Yotpo, SearchSpring, Nosto and analytics, buying reports and AB testing tools a plus
