Jean Dousset is a D2C fine jewelry brand that specializes in curating and designing custom, traditionally handcrafted engagement rings and extraordinary jewelry. We are redefining the world of luxury jewelry and the way consumers shop online for engagement rings and jewelry, with a progressive vision of the customer experience.

As Site Merchandiser you are responsible for ensuring a superior customer shopping experience as a result of executing our online merchandising and assortment strategy through website analytics, industry trends and competitive research. You will be the key go-to-market partner for our ecomm business, ensuring that strategies for product, content, marketing and merchandising are executed. This role will identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations to drive an intuitive shopping experience and maximize sales through continuous conversion improvement tactics.

This is a full-time hybrid role based out of Los Angeles reporting to the Director of E-Commerce.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and execute merchandising of homepage, PLPs, and category pages while delivering insights and providing merchandising feedback to the team
  • Oversee and execute web item set up process to ensure accurate and timely deployment of products
  • Partner with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure all photos, videos, details and sellable attributes of product are featured on PLPs
  • Maintain best in class product hierarchy strategy and execution for intuitive findability and shopping through site navigation and site search while driving testing and site optimization
  • Responsible for set-up that supports A/B tests in an effort to optimize conversion and overall customer experience (i.e. linking, navigation, refinements, sort order)
  • Execute timely product updates, including price changes, spec changes, etc
  • Analyze and report on quantitative and qualitative insights including ecomm metrics, trends, competitive/consumer market landscape
  • Support SEO optimization projects throughout the site
  • Serve as a digital expert for competitive landscape and customer experience
  • Responsible for launching website promotions in partnership with merchandising and marketing partners including maintaining credit codes and timely messaging
  • Partner with marketing on requests for digital first content and storytelling material including product visuals, campaign photography and video content
  • Manage weekly content changes on homepage and category pages
  • Ensure landing pages from email and social are linked to corresponding messaging
  • Provide sign-off for all site content, ensuring thorough QA and testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 – 5 years of related eCommerce merchandising and analytical experience, preferably in a D2C and / or luxury brand
  • Shopify experience preferred
  • Proficient with Google and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Sheets, etc)
  • Proficient with Google Analytics
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable working with large data sets and making data-driven decision
  • Open to feedback and ideas
  • Extremely thorough, organized and detail oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Team player, motivated, collaborative
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
