Shop LC, US employs approx. 550 people in operations such as its warehousing, customer service, merchandising, marketing, EComm, live studio, and management reside at the U.S. headquarters in Austin.

We are the US retailing unit and a brand of Shoplc and subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL), a well-established and vertically integrated company, founded in India 41 years ago.
The other retailing units of VGL Group are in UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). Together, all 3 businesses ship out approximately 50,000 products to their customers in the US, UK, and Germany every day. In addition, VGL Group operates offices globally in India, China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

ROLE OVERVIEW
Tamsy is in search of a visionary Senior Apparel Buyer with a profound understanding of product development to lead our D2C brand to new heights. This role entails crafting a meticulously curated product portfolio that embodies our brand's essence and emphasizes exceptional value for our customers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Individual Responsibilities
· Develop private label apparel brands for Tamsy.com from inception of concept to delivery in the warehouse with full understanding of development timelines, shipping, and other logistical requirements.
· Conduct trend research to interpret fashion trends and lifestyles for the design and launch of market-ready apparel.
· Develop and execute a buying strategy that aligns with the company's brand identity, pricing strategy, and sales goals.
· Work closely with our Asia manufacturing and sourcing teams to develop new products under our private label brands, looking for ways to expand into products and categories.
· Monitor inventory levels and product performance, making informed decisions on restocking, discontinuing, or introducing new items based on sales data and market trends.
· Collaborate with the marketing, Media buying team and creative teams to create visually appealing product presentations, including product images, descriptions, and marketing materials.
· Provide input and recommendations for marketing campaigns, promotions, and sales strategies based on product insights and market knowledge.
· Show creativity and resourcefulness to come up with solutions to issues that may arise during the development process and/or in anticipation of issues that may come up in the launch of new products.
· Ready for frequent travel overseas – China, India, Bangladesh, or any other locations for sourcing if needed.
· Comply with company policies and procedures.
· All other duties as assigned by the manager.
II. Managerial Responsibilities
· Delivery of timely one-to-one (1-to-1) and preparing and delivering mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
· Promote professional and personal development of individual team members by utilizing computerized and other systems for tracking service, and quality, setting productivity goals, training and coaching interventions and career opportunity programs, and for researching information and troubleshooting.
· Take proactive steps to manage employees’ attendance in accordance with company policies.
· Ensure all team members have access to, understand, and are kept current on company policies and procedures.
· Coordinate changes in staffing schedules and overtime requirements, if applicable, in accordance with company guidelines.
· Provide ongoing management and coaching.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Women's Clothing Buyer, preferably in an online retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of women's fashion trends, styles, and brands, with a passion for staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to make informed buying decisions.
- Positive and professional attitude with a team-player outlook and an outgoing, friendly, and approachable personality.
- Strong team interpersonal skills and experience interacting with vendors.
- Track record of success in creating a profitable merchandise mix utilizing forecasting, inventory management and assortment planning.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
- Moving around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Frequently lift 20-50lbs and occasionally lift 50 to 70 pounds.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
