Purpose of Role

As a Senior Designer for Team Sports, you will be instrumental in creating apparel that embodies the quality and craftsmanship that Under Armour is known for. You will use athlete insights and market research to identify ‘what’s next’ at the intersection of sport and performance. You will be an important part of a strong cross-functional team that obsesses over the make, fit, materials of each garment, every detail matters. You will work with this team to approach products through the lens of the consumer using athlete insights and research to problem solve with a goal to create innovative products. You will be responsible for ideation, creation, and execution of apparel design at UA, with a uniform focus. This position is located at Under Armour headquarters in the Baltimore area.

Your Impact
  • Design focus will be specific to uniform design, in partnership with design leadership.
  • Responsive, Rapid, and Focused communication to key stake holders
  • Work cross functionally with other design partners to ensure cross category collaboration and share ideas & athlete insights.
  • Ensure deliverables and deadlines are met while working on multiple projects or seasons at the same time
  • Partner and communicate with Design Leads and Design Director on category vision and execution
  • Develop and execute clear and detailed sketches and technical packages.
  • Partner with Director and Team Sports Team to drive concepts for apparel and overall product conceptualization including material, trim and color.
  • Partner in process improvement ideas within Team Sports apparel design, be proactive with challenges, and solution oriented.
  • Partner directly with product and merch leads to deliver appropriate assortment.
  • Present as design lead at milestone meetings; design check points, style design review, color reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or related field preferred
  • Uniform design experience preferred
  • 6+ years of related design experience
  • Affinity and passion for the brand / category.
  • Passion to design compelling and cutting-edge product.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of apparel construction and materials; preferably well versed in team sport atmosphere.
  • Ability to express concepts and ideas.
  • Strong presentation skills and comfortable working with a group.
  • Must be detail oriented, high ability to multi task and prioritize tasks successfully in order to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Adobe Creative Suites proficiency-Illustrator.
Workplace Location
  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD HQ office.
  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days per week in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), the remainder of work week remote.
Relocation

Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$90,895.00 - $124,980.90 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
