That is why we set out to revolutionize the women’s apparel sizing standard with our patented ShapeLogic™ technology by focusing on shape, not just size. With over 350,000 pants sold and a 90% success rate of women finding their perfect fitting pants, we’ve only just started. We are seeking a Senior Technical Designer (Apparel) who is also skilled in patternmaking to join the team and help us build out our rapidly expanding brand.

This key hybrid role will work with the senior production manager and be responsible for tech pack creation, patternmaking, grading, fittings, as well as library creation and maintenance. This position requires an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and great work ethic as the demands of our business change daily. We are looking for a highly detailed, self-starting individual, with solid technical and managerial skills, as well as product experience in women’s apparel.

  • This job function is a hybrid in-office/work from home position.


  • Build upon company fit, size ranges, grading, and construction standards
  • Use existing digital patterns to restructure and enhance our product; create new patterns as needed
  • Bring design vision to life while achieving impeccable fit and construction standards
  • Lead fittings taking detailed and accurate notes with a complete technical understanding of body, fit, specs, fabric/trim stretch
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs including sketches with construction/stitching, fit evaluation comments and specs, tolerances, grading
  • Measure and evaluate garments from proto sample through TOP
  • Illustrate detail sketches using Adobe Illustrator
  • Create and maintain libraries of approved samples, construction, specs, block patterns, and style patterns
  • Work with Sr. production manager on T&A calendar to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery while managing time and workflow
  • Troubleshoot potential production issues (for quality, shrinkage or stretch)


  • Bachelor's Degree in Patternmaking or Technical Design
  • Minimum 6+ years Technical Design Experience in woven apparel with a focus on bottoms; experience in denim a must; experience in dresses, cut & sew knits, and lounge wear a plus
  • Knowledge of draping, patternmaking, construction, industry fit knowledge
  • Knowledge of sizing and grading
  • Working knowledge in Gerber/Lectra, and manual patterns a must
  • Experience with TukaTech, PLM, PDM, Optitex or CLO a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
  • Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented, highly organized, and the ability to identify priorities and adapt as business needs change.
