Studio Internship
René Scheibenbauer graduated from Central Saint Martins where his collection ‘Empathy, Connection, Play was awarded the runner up of ‘L'Oréal Professionel Young Talent Award’. Following his graduation, René Scheibenbauer founded his eponymous label in 2018.
The designer employs a therapeutic quality within clothing and movement practices, utilizing interdiciplinary performace as a design methodology. His research places a focus on social and collaborative aspects, and is integral to research, design development and presentation.
Job descriptionRené Scheibenbauer is offering a Studio Placement opportunity. You will be working closely on collection development with tasks as pattern cutting, working on mock-ups, toiling, and production related tasks such as research, linesheet making, communication with manufactures.
The given tasks will give you a better understanding of pattern cutting and machine sewing as well as organisational and planning skills for putting together a fashion collection as well as steps that are required to prepare a collection for production.
Role is available on Full-Time and Part-Time basis.
ProfileQualifications:
- Have good foundation of pattern cutting and sewing skills
- Have some experience working with Illustrator and Photoshop
- Have good organizational skills
- Able to take on self-directed project
